KBOP (“KBOP”, “we”, “us”) runs a Korean meal-kit subscription from our kitchen at #33-145 Schoolhouse Street, Coquitlam, BC. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you shop with us at kbop.ca, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions: hello@kbop.ca.
What we collect
- Contact details: your name, email address and phone number.
- Delivery details: your delivery address, buzzer or entry instructions, and any notes you give us.
- Orders and subscription: what you order, your subscription status (active, paused, skipped or cancelled) and payment status. Payments are processed by our payment providers; we do not see or store your full card number.
- Delivery records: delivery status and time, and a photo of your order at the door taken by our courier as proof of delivery.
- Messages: emails and chat messages you send us.
- Device and browsing information collected automatically by our online store (for example cookies, IP address and pages viewed).
How we use it
- To prepare, deliver and manage your orders and subscription, including billing, skips and pauses.
- To contact you about your orders — for example order and payment emails, delivery texts if you opt in, and replies to your questions.
- To plan delivery routes and to answer delivery questions or resolve disputes.
- To send marketing emails, only if you have agreed to receive them. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To run and improve our store and to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run KBOP, and only as needed for the purposes above: our online store and payment providers, our subscription management provider, our delivery routing and courier tools, our email provider and our text messaging provider. Some of them may process information outside British Columbia and Canada. We do not sell your personal information.
Text messages (SMS)
If you check “Text me KBOP delivery updates” in your cart, we use your mobile number to send you delivery texts on delivery day: when your courier heads out, when they are 3 stops away, and when your order has been delivered (with a link to the delivery photo). Up to 3 texts per delivery day; message frequency varies with your deliveries. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. You can also email hello@kbop.ca.
We do not share or sell your mobile number or your text messaging opt-in and consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes. Your number is used only to send you KBOP delivery texts, and our text messaging provider processes it only to deliver those messages.
How long we keep it
We keep order and payment records for as long as required for tax and accounting purposes. Delivery photos and delivery records are kept only as long as needed to answer delivery questions or resolve disputes, and are then deleted. You can ask us to delete information we no longer need.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, withdraw your consent to marketing emails or delivery texts, or ask about this policy by emailing hello@kbop.ca. We will respond as required by British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act and other applicable Canadian privacy laws.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version.
